The JJCR 2021, at the crossroads of French robotics research
For this 2021 edition, the Young Researchers' Day in Robotics will take place on October 12, 2021. Initially planned in Carry-Le-Rouet, it will finally take place in a hybrid format, with the possibility of attending in Paris, where we will be hosted by ISIR.
Due to the uncertainties regarding the regulations in force at that time, those wishing to attend in Paris will be asked for a valid Health Pass.
Under the supervision of the GDR-CNRS, this day is organised mainly by PhD students for PhD students. The objective of this day is to create an opportunity to have an overview of the research conducted in France in the field of robotics. It is also a good opportunity to meet and start building/expanding our networks in a friendly environment.
We therefore invite you to come and make a small presentation of your work, thus allowing you to benefit from the views of people outside your usual ecosystem and this can also be the birth of future scientific collaborations.
Objectives:
As every year, the JJCR tries to meet four objectives:
A desire to initiate the dissemination of scientific work and the discovery of the different research themes carried out in France.
To offer the opportunity to doctoral students to present and discuss their work in a more informal way than at an international conference.
To allow doctoral students and researchers to get in touch and to build inter-laboratory and trans-disciplinary relationships.
To have the opportunity, thanks to the intervention of Nicolas Andreff, to obtain clarifications on the possible opportunities following your doctorate as well as on the steps and prerequisites for your pursuit in the fields of scientific and institutional research (lecturer, research fellow, ...)
Participation:
Everyone is welcome, whether you are a PhD student, a post-doctoral fellow or an engineer, as we are all contributing together to the advancement of robotics. However, the format of the day will prioritise slots for presentation sessions* for PhD students. These are 15 minutes long, followed by a few minutes of questions.
On the other hand, it is proposed that you send us a poster in pdf format which will be available on the virtual platform throughout the day, and around which exchanges can be organised.
*However, in order to facilitate exchanges and follow-up by foreign doctoral students who may be present, you will be asked to produce the slides in English.
Important dates:
Registrations are possible from this site via the tab of the same name.
- If you wish to present, the deadline is 30 September.
- If you wish to participate in Paris, the deadline is 6 October.
- For participation by videoconference, the deadline is 10 October.
Please note that:
In order to come to Paris a mission order can be handled by your laboratory. On site, lunch and snacks will be provided.
